I must have lost my mind. I've still got to work on my NaNo book (that stalled out at 5k) and here I am working on fanfic instead.
I've signed up for Secret Slasha again this year. And the Africander (Xander in Africa) ficathon challenge (I picked Rwanda). And entrenous88's wild and crazy Ats/BtVS Scottish ficathon. At least for these two, I write what I want instead of to someone else's request. Those are due mid-January.
Amazingly I have ideas for the Scottish and Africander stories. I've already been researching Rwanda this morning and have a format for my story. Very exciting. Very, very, very exciting.
I'm working on silvertedy's fic and my charity fics as well. Obviously I'm not getting much work done. But that's okay. I don't really care.
In Colorado news:
I talked to a Realtor in Summit County Colorado this morning and he said they've got 8 ft. in the back bowls at Vail! OMG! That's where Chris really wants to ski next weekend. We might have the guy show us some properties in Summit in our price range, but the options in our range are pretty limited and the land prices are outrageous. We'll see. We have to weigh job opps for Chris too. I think Summit is back on the table of possibilities. Steamboat Springs remains completely off our list unfortunately.
