The Great Depression
sitting atop
the billboard that said
"I'd walk a mile for a Camel"
behind the sign
I saw
a man and woman
peeing
then standing up
they began
to fuck
it was the Great Depression
there were no beds and such
not even food
only love on the run
watched by a bug-eyed kid
who got so tense
he nearly
fell through the olive branch
to join
the festivity

And from me another untitled piece:
hesitation for
longer than a moment then
suddenly you're there
reaching out, holding on, mouth
to mouth, chest to chest, closer
than you've ever been
to anyone, closer than
you wanted to be
