(no subject)
It's been a while since I actually blogged something that doesn't involve a picture of my sewing. (not sure that this will be without a picture, but i'm going to try).
Things have been rolling along okay. The bills have been paid for the month, and we're going to be able to do a good grocery trip this weekend. We've discussed our budget more thoroughly and will be caucusing next week to make our January Budget plan, and will be using a zero balance budget plan. It's going to be a rough budget though, because both of our pay will be changing in Jan. We're switching from his Ins. to mine, and so my check will go down some, and his should go up a lot. Yea!
Nov. and Dec. have been a late shift for me, but I've been taking most Saturdays off so at least I've been having weekends with my man at home. Next month is a evening shift, but at least I'll get off at 9:30pm and be able to talk to the hubby on my way home. But I'll have Tues/Weds off, so no real weekends for Jan. I have no idea what shift I might get in Feb.
On the other paw, at least I get free-days again in Jan. So we plan to go to IL for the last week-end of Jan. I'll take a free day and a DAT day at the end of Jan and probably the same thing at the beginning of Feb, so we'll have a whole weekend. It will be really nice to go visit family and friends in IL.
Doggies are doing well, and Shadow loves the doggie blanket to keep her warm. It's just a little too small for her, but it pretty much covers her up. Jester finds her ravishing when she's got it on... or he just likes her "laundry fresh" smelling I guess.
I started a blog on blogger: http://dogpackcentral.blogspot.com/, and a facebook page too. So now I've got to keep up with all three. I still keep this one in mind as my main way to interact, and keep people updated, but I've got some folks on facebook that don't blog.
That's about all for me. No pictures, and perhaps I'll update again sometime without sewing being the main focus. ;-)
