(no subject)
The protest yesterday was really cool to go to. I was so happy to see that people out there really care and are doing something about civil rights. It gives me hope that this country is waking up from some of this apathy.
An entire group of people is being denied a right. I was not surprised when people voted Yes on Prop 8 though. It was interesting to see yesterday that there were only four people in Santa Cruz at the protest that were Yes on 8 and they were all Black.
In other news, my job is still going really well. I really like what I do and I think I could do this for a while. I like my housemates and I like the house. I'm waiting to save up some money so I can get some better furniture but its all working out well for right now. We're having a turkey dinner tonight which will be nice.
I'm looking forward to going down south for Thanksgiving. I'm not looking forward to Thanksgiving Day because of the breakup and it will be weird to be around my family, but oh well. I'm excited to see my friends and go Black Friday shopping with no money. :)
I'm also reading a fantastic book. I'm always happier when I have a good book to read.
