It should not be this hard to search for a job . . .
I have spent most of the time not updating this journal at work or researching jobs to apply for. I have a spreadsheet of, no lie, 134 colleges or universities that I am looking at. Fully 50 of them are looking for Spanish professors or adjuncts . . . so I feel pretty good about my chances of eventually getting employed! However I have put in probably 20 hours already on the searching part and I haven't even started applying!
I found out the other day by reading the paper that the work of my favorite artist, J.M.W. Turner is going to be at the National Gallery of Art until January 6th. Does anyone want to go see the exhibit with me? I would be willing to go several times, since it's free, and we could do dinner afterwards! Let me know!
I'd like to make a plug for "Dracula: The Musical?" that is currently showing at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn. It is cheesy to the max. It is awesomely bad. I laughed until I almost peed my pants. Let me know also if you want to go to this and I will reserve you a ticket!
