Cakery
I love making cakes. I kind of knew that before, but now I dream about them, and about my next cake-making venture. Yesterday, I made my brother's birthday cake, which we will have today. It was cupcakes, actually, but so much fun that I found myself cackling as I worked. I even used marshmallow-fondant, which is super tasty.
Bit at a time, I am learning new techniques and getting better at what I am trying to do. I still have to work on some things that I would like to have down cold, but for now, the learning process is really fun. Also, I have found some amazing flavours of cake, filling and icing that make me happy. Favourites:
lime custard filling
chai cream cheese icing
coconut cake
pumpkin cake
So, if you have a yummy cake recipe that's not too tricky (not because I can't handle hard, but so I can get to the decorating part more quickly), please do send it!
