Casual learning

Currently I've been slowly trying to learn japanese.
There are times where I feel like I make good progresses but then again there's other times where I feel like I don't understand anything :S
The thing is I haven't really committed myself into learning japanese, because I'm so busy at college, and when I get home I feel tired, and I don't feel like studying.
On the other hand, even if I learn it bit by bit I don't think it's that bad since my main focus it's indeed college, and I'm so close to the end.
I want to take a japanese class next year, I wonder how much will I learn and, most importantly if it doesn't disrupt my studies. Will see.
Until then I'll keep my slowly approach :)

Besides I've been meaning to read this book about a person who was born in a north korean prison camp, and was able to escape from it. It sounds like I can learn something from this book.
