That boy is driving me nuts
Surprisingly enough, I'm not talking about Travis. He's sweet and perfect and my only complaint at the moment is that I don't get to see him enough.
I'm talking about Marshall.
An explanation for those who don't know Marshall:
Marsall is a jackass of a friend. He always has been and he always will be. Sure, sometimes he has interesting things to say and there is no denying that he's funny as hell, but damn! That boy is such an ass!
Now, the reason he's driving me nuts right now? The teasing is getting a bit out of hand. I'm fine with the sex jokes and the innuendo from everyone. Generally, I think it's funny. Plus, it reminds me of the fact that I finally nabbed my boy. But when the comments sound malicious, I don't like them. When they're resentful and purposefully said to piss me off, I don't like them.
This is what Marshall does.
I don't understand why he takes such pleasure from antagonization. Is it a defense mechanism? Or is he just that mean-spirited?
It shouldn't bother me, but it does. It's frustrating that he went from telling us that we were chickenshit for taking so long to get together to telling us that we're practically having sex in publc. I don't know who taught him the birds and the bees, but if he thinks that holding hands and leaning on one another is 'practically having sex', he has another thing coming. or not.
The he goes into a rant about how I will end up bitching about other people and PDA. I really don't think I do that. I mean, I don't enjoy seeing people who I don't like PDA, but I don't like seeing those people in general.
I'm trying to find a quaint, comfortable medium between keeping my friends happy and keeping my boyfriend happy and these comments are not helping how I feel about my relationship. I already feel guilty about having a boyfriend when some of my best friends are feeling a lack of nonplatonic love, a snide running commentary in addition.
So, I would like Marshall to shut his goddamn mouth. I deserve to be happy and he shouldn't be trying to rain on my parade.
