In so many words
"When two people come together, there is a window period for things to happen. Either the relationship escalates nicely, or it fizzles out. I think we fizzled out."
"But I miss you. How can we fizzle out?"
"We just did."
Just like that, an escalating story of my life that was brewing quite steadily over the whole of last month ended just as abruptly as it had started. It was a damn good story though. The plot was simple, but playing the part meant I had to be someone I was not.
It was good while it lasted (I think). So long, brown eyes.
