(no subject)
Well, unfortunately the line into Derby was blocked and we had to go around. We were hoping to find a place where we could turn this thing around when we ground to a halt; whatever's making them do it, people just kept charging the train, and eventually this pile built up and we stopped. It's way too gross to think about really, you just have to laugh it off. I wasn't sure whether to not look when I got off or to take pics and upload to 4chan.
Since we're stopped here and the area around looks fairly clear (now) we went to see what we could find in the town. Turns out antique stores are a good source of medieval swords and Bruce (a burly guy who seems to have put himself in charge of our group) managed to pick up a crossbow. It looks to be in working order but he keeps moaning that he's not had the chance to use it yet. Personally I hope he doesn't, I don't trust that guy's aim for one thing.
After our shopping trip we had a reality check and decided we couldn't get the train free of its pile of (no longer) walking corpses. More and more of them seem to be attracted to the stench; it's gaining quite a crowd, but at least it keeps the attention off us.
Looks like the guys have found a car that's working. It's a huge 4x4 so it should get us back fairly safely. I'm going to post this and then go help mount some blades on that thing.
