Spent a wonderful week in Berlin/Potsdam visiting some friends. The trip included many firsts: staying at a friend's fat I've never been to before, finally managing to take the trip to an old school friend and her new baby dog, and visiting two art museums. I even managed to get my boyfriend to come to Berlin for a weekend, doing the touristy tour as he hadn't been to the capital before. Other than that, I made an effort being idle, a thing that'S truly hard work for me. To fill my time, I tried drawing a bit to get used to it again (no big success) and started on a Basil Hallward/Dorian Gray ficlet (has to be revised a lot).
The week was grand, but the best thing was right at the beginning: the acoustic concert of Dave Matthews, accompanied by the guitarist Tim Reynolds. I have no words to describe how utterly amazing this concert was. Two hours and forty minutes of insane guitar action, beautiful songs, a great voice, and lots of wonderful performer-audience interaction. I will never ever see hollering men with the same eyes...
Everyday duties rushed up to bury me once I returned. I'm totally knackered after one day and a half, and I'm still not done with the clothes washing and ironing, flat cleaning, and grocery shopping. A flat shouldn't be allowed to collect dust like that when one isn't there. Oh, and work. I hate children, I really do. There are exceptions, of course, but the majority *shudders*
I really want to read up on all what happened on my flist, but it'll take time. So, who ever might care, I probably will comment sometime this week on the things you posted in the last week, including fics and updates.
Now I'm stuck with one of the most stupid post-term paper activities, the erasing of all pencil marks in the books. Yay.
