Mwuahaha Music!!!

Music, music, music! The whole weekend! Mwuahahahahaha. And it got better from night to night *g*

Friday: Cathedrale Noir. Nice goth party in a beautiful location. Was actually spent outside most of the time, enjoying the still warm, soft breeze and nice company. I guess I never danced that little when out before...
What else happened? Ah yes, I was called the perfect woman of one's dreams. Sadly by the totally wrong kind of guy.

Saturday: After the yayness of meeting with a dear old school friend, I went to the yearly free-of-charge rock music festival just in front of the town hall. Seen some nice bands (Justin Balk, for example, for those who actually look at what music stands underneath my posts sometimes), seen some bad ones. Ended a lovely day by taking a walk around the inner Alster lake with my flatmate.

Sunday: Lazy day, actually, but went to the festival again, saw a nice local band and then the star of the evening: Bela B., who actually is the drummer of Die Ärzte, a German punk rock band, and tours solo at the moment. He's my teenagehood idol and I still love him. Hence an evening filled with squeeing and clapping till my busted thumb joint capsule protested. *squees at memory* Oh, how I wish to have been the girl who got to dance with him on stage to his "Woman of one's dreams" song...

Monday: Blind Guardian concert. German band, plays something you could call melodic metal. Not part of the festival, but the absolute highlight of it all. Went there with lordhellebore who is a great fan of theirs. I don't really know much of their songs, and the few I do know, I don't know good enough to sing along. Which was quite sad when the whole hall began singing a song called "The Bard's Song" mainly by itself. The leadsinger looked so proud and glad, understandably ;)
I'm actually too tired to express the joy I felt when seeing the performance of a band who still knew how to play (oh ye gods, e-guitar soli! *shivers in delight*) and how to sing and how to make the audience jump and scream with excessive joy. So good there are not enough words to describe it.

Will now fall into my bed and hope that my bones and joints will forgive me all this jumping, standing, dancing and clapping by tomorrow morning...

personal, music
