Okay, so I realize I haven't had much to say lately (or rather no time to say it...) so I'm posting now.
Lessee... After Mexico, I crammed on my homework, got it done, went to school, turned it in, got it back, and got A's on both History and English (Yay!). Then I had homework and spent at least one night a week awake until 2 AM. The work load is better now... I hope it'll stay that way.
Oh! And my class schedule:
On A days, I have Spanish III, World Religions, Pre-Calculus, and Sociology (in that order)
On B days, I have Anatomy and Physiology, AP US History, Yoga, and AP English: Language and Composition (in that order)
I was surprised to find that English is actually my favorite class, and maybe I'll look for a job in that, instead of science. Or with science.
I've been volunteering at Adventist. I think that time I got sick, I got it from there. Hospitals + sick people = me + home from school.
I got to go to a college fair yesterday, and there were a lot of interesting colleges... it's a bit overwhelming, actually. I got info on Colgate College, Kenyon, University of Pennsylvania, Reed (the only one in Oregon that I got info on, actually), University of Washington, University of Arizona, Harverford, Knox, and Xavier University (now, did anyone else just go "Professor X! X-men!" or am I just weird like that?). I was looking for colleges with good science and English programs, as well as a few classes in Native American (American Indian, whatever) classes. Any suggestions, you college people? There was only a limited selection at the fair...
I went to Barnes and Noble and got almost $100 worth of books: AP English + History study guides, the first four books in the Dark is Rising series (per
theropicus' recommendation; I'm done with the first one), books four and five of the Ender's Game series, and the complete Hitchhikers Guide trilogy (yep, all five of 'em), and the first HP book, 'cause Dad lost it. And Dad bought a few books too, so I guess I had help.
So, all you college age people, any suggestions where I should go? Comments on my books? Anything?
