The mega pile o' wolf books

Standing in the middle of the Young Adult Paranormal Romance section of Barnes and Nobles is like a dementor attack.  It destroys every good feeling, every happy memory, and eventually turns you into a soul sucking monster.

Huge pile of wolf and werewolf stuff to get through: notetaking on Wolves and the Wolf Myth in American Literature  and reading Anne Rice's The Wolf Gift. I just bought a copy of Farley Mowat's Never Cry Wolf. Favorite hilarious moment: he's been looking for wolves unsuccessfully all day, needs to pee, and starts, only to realize that a group of wolves are looking at him with interest.  He kind of panics and then after a few incidents like this realizes that the wolves are not charging straight at him heading right for the wobbly bits.

I also ordered The Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy online.  Yeah, I know, but it was actually cheaper buying it as a paperback set on Amazon, and the library has it back ordered till forever.  Not as badly as Fifty Shades, but still.  I'm trying not to pre-judge them, but at this point I have got to read some YA paranormal stuff with werewolves, whether I like it or not.  NB:  I still do not find werewolves sexy.  Sorry, I don't.  I don't like gore, I don't like scary movies, and I'm a cat person. A lot of my donations go to groups trying to save big cats in the wild, or rescue them from dopes who thought it was SUCH a cute idea to have a baby lion, or small cat humane societies.

But I'm thinking about getting an "I Heart Obligate Carnivores" T shirt.

Also halfway through GOF.  I'm pretty sure it's my least favorite HP book.

werewolves, harry potter, academia, research, cats
