I'm not on facebook. I'm just not. And if I do decide to go back, I would probably have to set up a new account anyway, seeing as my old one is frozen. But that's that. Even after speaking with my Cursillo girls last night, who came up with a few good suggestions, I'm still inclined to just let it be and just not be on facebook.
I mean really - how over-stimulated with technology can one girl be? I already spend an inordinate amount of time on the internet; I don't need a phone where I can constantly check my e-mails (thank you Welshie for getting me one to use in the UK!) and I don't need to continue to have a facebook account where I will inevitably cyber-stalk people.
Even though I know I am and will continue to miss out on events people no longer e-mail or call about, I am accepting this. It is a drawback, but then, whatever one chooses, there are always drawbacks.
Being in the UK may change my mind a bit, since I'll miss people, but still, I have the e-mail addresses of the people I care most about. And of course, I have LJ for my lovely flist!
Cheerie-Bye.
PS - my family is great. I know I complain about them at times, but they really are great. For as much as Julie makes me twitch at times, she has totally made this week bearable!
