[Remus sits in the kitchen, switching the voice function on his comm on and off, each time he does so losing his nerve. He’s tried not to talk, to keep his mouth shut and be anti-social, hiding in the library or in his room with his books. His hands are shaking a little and he gets up to pour himself a glass of water as his mouth goes dry.]
Just...just do it Remus. Press the button and talk to him.
[He takes a long drink of the water and sits down again, taking a few deep breaths before switching on the comm again.]
Sirius? I...I need to talk to you. Now. I...this has to happen face to face.
[Long sigh and he groans, head in his hands because he feels like the biggest wanker in the world right now.]
James...Lily...just...I’m saying sorry in advance.
[He clicks the comm off and waits, feeling sick and he very much wants to cry already.]
