I think I'll try defying gravity

Phew. Okay, so.

All of Thursday was spent with dad, as he was in Denmark for a few days helping out a friend. We went home to said friend's place for dinner, which was lovely. I got a much-needed dose of animals - they have three dogs and a snake. I'll post some pictures once dad sends them to me.

Friday was spent doing the last bits of cleaning my flat, and then I went off to the airport to pick up sasha_lilyrat! Didn't do much once we got back, just went out and got groceries, then hung out at home, as Kate was tired from travel, and I was running on next to no sleep.

Saturday we spent all day in Copenhagen Zoo, and you can see all my photos here.

Saturday evening we went to see Wicked, which was amazing. Maria Lucia Rosenberg, our Elphaba, did a brilliant job. The woman can sing. Hell, even Wicked connoisseur Kate was completely sold after The Wizard and I. I wasn't a huge fan of their choice for Glinda, although she did good. I would just have preferred someone younger and better at singing.
The sets and costumes were gorgeous. The stage was a lot smaller than it usually is for Wicked productions, but they were really really clever with the space.

So yeah, loved loved loved it. Would love to see it again, but alas, it closes on the 29th, and anyway I'm kind of broke. I'd love to see it in London or New York or something, though.

Sunday we did the touristy thing and visited the Little Mermaid and wandered around the area for a while, then spent the rest of the day in Tivoli. By the end of the night we agreed we were far far too exhausted to do anything of consequence on Monday, so we slept in and then just pottered about until Kate had to go to the airport. Went with her to send her off, and then went home and crashed.

Sat up till 4 AM last night writing an important school paper.

I am so exhausted, you guys.

At least I only have four days left of school, and then a handful or two of tests/exams, and then I am freeee until August. I cannot wait. I am so ready for a break.

I also feel the need to remark on today. May 11th. Today it's been 10 years since Douglas Adams passed away. Taken away far too soon, and sorely missed. So long, and thanks for all the fish.
