Oh no! Yesterday morning, I discovered to my horror that the meows have fleas! It is so damn weird because a) they are indoor cats and b) we live in utah where there aren't fleas. That retarded scary cat that was getting into our basement must have had them. EW

Fleas cannot live in Utah ... without a host

I have a bad allergy to fleas. Everyone has a slight allergy to fleas, but I get bit once and the area around the bite turns red and itchy (like 3 inches around the bite) I just moved down here from Seattle into a house with 14 cats (7 indoor, 3 outdoor, 4 in/out) about a day later my legs and any part of me that wasn't always covered, was swelling and itching like a sunuvabytch.. I asked if the cats had fleas and was told that fleas can't live in Utah ... after about another week of tearing my skin off and not managing any form of restful sleep. I asked again and they said it was impossible ... I swear I couldn't have grabbed that fluffy siamese any quicker and started sifting thru the fur .. shortly after pulling the 5th flea off we started the flea baths ..

You know .. if fleas can't live in Utah .. why do they sell flea bath and flea collars and other flea related items in Utah ?

sorry about your doomful flea experience! hopefully my tale is almost over and will be at a very final ending point (without any "...'s" or "the end???'s) after tomorrows round of flea baths and vacuuming. no more itching for me please!
