(no subject)
it's so nice to lounge around in comfy pajamas. Vida's having a nap and i'm listening to Bill Frissel. it looks like a sink of despair and muck outside. really, it's gross.
it was sunny over the weekend, though, and bonnie and i took vidahlia, jake, and nick (our two young cousins) for a weency hike. There was a buzzard day celebration, too, but we had to turn back before oogling over the scavengers because the younger cousin was going nuts without his macaroni and cheese and video games and indoor heating. ugh.
Alex is flying back from boston today. he took another tour of MIT and had a good visit with some relatives who live up there.
Apparently, MIT is cooler than he originally thought. Everyone teaching and studying there (that he met, anyway) is kick ass and quite laid back. Student housing resembles an expensive hole, but supposedly appts. in the suburbs aren't that bad. Also, the prof. he'd be working with teaches/researches in NY three days a week, meaning alex and i could just bugger off for a while (caaammmpingg...oooh, yeah). His aunt and uncle have a beach house, too. perhaps we can also house sit...or something.
These days just keep limping by. alex is driving back from spring break and taking a detour to visit. he'll be here thursday. i'm excited.
