Working Things Out
The website has had an update. I still have a couple of things I want to do, but that's something I'm planning on doing at a later date. For now I'm trying to work out what I want to be doing with the stories themselves. What I have been doing is treating the website like a blog, with a regular posting schedule, because that was what made sense, but, looking at the number of stories I have to post, I've been thinking of just posting them. I really do have too many for a normal posting schedule to work. Then, when I have new stories to go up, I'll post those. No schedule. Just posting as and when I have something to post. I don't know how well that would work, though. I might try it out and see how things go.
Another thing I've been thinking about is how to get back to my crowdfunding roots. I haven't done any for a long time, thanks to certain laws that were put in place by the EU, and I know that I'm not going to be able to work in the same way I did when I started out. Obviously I want to be earning some sort of income from the website - even if I only get to the point where it's paying for itself. I've been thinking about, if anyone was interested, doing a live writing session maybe once every fortnight. Prompt sessions never really worked out quite the way I wanted them to (which was mostly my fault - I like writing to prompts, but sometimes working out what to write was far harder than I expected it to be). So I was thinking live writing might work for me.
Something else I was hoping to set up was a world building hangout on Google Hangouts. I did have my chat room (up until I ended up losing where it was entirely thanks to the tab not coming back up), and I wouldn't be able to do the same thing with the hangout. I am working on more world building (and here's the point where I have to say I do have far too many worlds), because I want to have a better idea how each of them work. That better idea does not mean I won't find myself in the position where they surprise me, but I am planning on learning the geography of the worlds, probably by starting on some maps. I do have a basic idea, but not enough of one to be certain where places are.
