Jeebus, it's not like Fidelity hasn't sent out this kind of mail for years.. "our view of XXX" For or against, I'd expect them to have an opinion and communicate it to their clients.

You know what would be cool? A polite but large electronic "flash mob" to all write a specified company each week (day? whatever?) about a particular topic to -really- focus their attention on it and maybe even get a retraction.
