Wii me.

I've decided that I want to buy a Wii. Those of you in the know, how is the retail availability of these things? I'm not exactly eager to shell out $50+ above retail on one from eBay, and I'm patient enough to wait a little while; that being said, what's my best bet for finding one in a retail store here in Austin?

... my brother is (potentially) wanting to sell his. Although you'd have to have it mailed/ fedexed/ something.

Ah, has he gotten bored with it?

Let me know if he decides to sell it, and what it comes with. I might be interested. :)

I've heard you can go to a Hollywood Video (the ones with a store inside?) and get put on a waiting list - might take a few weeks, but you'll get one.

Saw it on craigslist, dunno how reliable it is.

And let me know when you get one so I can steal it. ;)

My sister has been trying to find a Wii as well. You can try www.itrackr.com
They'll let you know if any retailers in your area have one at any given moment. You have to sign up, but it's free so no biggie. Our Target here has gotten a couple shipments since Christmas. If we had been a little more on the ball we probably could have gotten one.

Let me just say that the Wii is awesome. I stood out in the cold to get mine from a Wal-Mart and it was sooo worth it, heh. The new Zelda game is a must-have if you manage to snag a Wii.

Good Luck!

Yikes. That site claims that nearly every Target in Austin has Wiis -- including the Target I was at an hour ago that definitely didn't have any. :)

I went ahead and bought one on eBay... got tired of calling stores all the time.
