Not that I give a shit whether he's touring in Canada or not considering his solo music is worth absolutely nothing, it just makes me laugh that he's boycotting Canada because of our commercial seal hunt, when the whole reason we have seal hunting in the first place is for people who would normally be fishing if only the shores off the coast of Newfoundland weren't over-fished illegally by Portugal and other foreign countries. The seal hunt is sustainable and provides an income for people who have been consistently degraded, ignored, and screwed over. Instead, Morrissey will spout off a bunch of bullshit comparing Canada to Nazi Germany and the worst offender of human rights: China and choose to tour in countries such as France, Ireland, England and the United States who have never ever done anything horrible to animals, or dare I say, human beings! I wonder if he's ever heard of the meat industry in the United States and Britain? But of course, he's a celebrity and we should take what he says as truth and feel sorry for adorable baby seals as opposed to animals that are killed everyday such as chickens, pigs, cows, turkeys, etc. I'm not a vegetarian and I have nothing against animal lovers or vegans or whatever. But this kind of uneducated bantering from celebrities who know absolutely nothing about what it means to have nothing is truly fucking ridiculous. "Meat is murder" my fucking ass.
