Because I can't help thinking about the day we macerated the tiger. The entire prep room smelled so wonderful, almost like a chickeny soup was being made. When we pulled the bones out to get the rest of the meat off, we were all crouching around it on the floor and pulling at it, debating whether or not to taste it.
The gorilla, however, was rank. Ugh. We triple gloved and we still had gorilla stink on our hands. Wonderful odor to go home with, napthalene and gorilla stench. Which smelled like the older outhouses in a state park in the middle of summer that were overflowing.
Heh. They had to close a wing of the museum down the day we macerated the gorilla. The way the ventilation is set up in the museum was that it passed through the prep room before going down to the exhibits. It stank so badly that people were complaining. They asked us next time, do the stinky stuff on a weekend.
