I've a wedding to go to next week. I'll probably wear a dress I've worn before, just not something they've seen before. it's black, with "emroidered" white vines with leaves on them all over the dress. It looks really nice. Sleeveless

Not held at a place of worship. It might be outside, but the invitation doesn't give a clue for that (just the location name makes me think that).
They tend to more informal. I mean, the groom wore shorts to another cousin's wedding which was during the day, in a church. So, I don't think they mind about formality.
Nope, it's located where we live.
(and yeah, I wouldn't wear black hose with white shoes! It's just that my white shoes are much more comfy than my black ones, and I'm unwilling right now to get a pair of shoes for a few hours on one day when I just did that recently). I will be bringing a shawl, because I get cold with a/c, but that is black as well. I did wear the dress to another wedding, which was an evening wedding.
I wish I fit into my lavender dress! So cheap at the commissary. I think it was 30 bucks, lined, embroidered. Maybe I'll hunt it up and see if it fits right now. I doubt it though. I suspect a lot of people will be wearing sandals and such for this wedding. I have to say, I hate it when ceremonies are many hours before the reception (which is what this one is). Though, if I wear my lavender dress, I probably need different color shoes. No idea what color goes with lavender. There isn't any white on that dress, so white shoes wouldn't really go any more than black would.
