For those who are concerned, my RSD has spread. It made a really vicious attack, keeping me up and in tears. It spread by about 2-3 inches. It was at the base of my neck, and now it's up to my ears and includes my ears. I'm terrified that it will spread to my face. My scalp, I probably can manage. My face? Not being able to touch it at all during a bad attack? I don't know. I'm trying to schedule a nerve block with radiofrequency lesioning. I would need to have it done on both sides of my neck, treatments within 2 weeks of each other. I'd prefer the same day, but they don't generally do that. The link below explains about it very basically and clearly. The one I'm having is a stellate ganglion nerve block. There is a chance that the nerves will be totally destroyed, and you know what? I'd be happy if they were. Because that means no pain transmission and I'd just deal with the sensory problems that it would probably cause.
