Card Captor Sakura
☈ Sakura was not the one who opened the book of the Clow Cards; rather, it was her mother, Nadeshiko, who was appointed by Keroberos as the Card Captor. Unfortunately, despite the help of her friends - her cousin Sonomi, and her special someone and eventual husband, Fujitaka - Nadeshiko failed at the Last Judgment. Thus tragedy fell upon the world as it had been foretold, in the form of a world war that lasted for many, many years.
☈ The characters were born almost four decades later than in canon.
☈ Prior to the outbreak of World War III in 2014, the world was already politically subdivided into three: the Alliance of America, the European Legion and the Asian Confederation. Eriol's faction secretly controlled the European Legion, the Li clan became a power within the Asian Confederation alongside the rise of Hong Kong as the new Asian capital, and the three groups fought over Japan, then a neutral but powerful force in itself.
King of Bandits Jing
☈
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
☈ Albel did not fail in the Ascension of the Flame Ceremony. Consequently, he became duke and captain of the Dragon Brigade instead of Vox.
☈ Robert and Ryoko were unable to have a child naturally. That and their attempt to save the world from the Creator's wrath led them to 'create' Fayt and Maria, their biological but test-tube children. They then proceeded to code the infants' genes with runes; however, Maria's genes showed much instability, and Robert was forced to schedule her disposal.
MUSES
Fuutei Li
fuufuu |
geiravor | CCS | 22 | female | terran
Codenamed Geiravor, Fuutei is the second eldest child in the Li family and is consequently the second-in-command of the Valkyries, the clan's elite assassin team directly serving the matriarch, Yelan. She's been unhappy with her position, however, longing to surpass her older sister Sheifa, and eventually Yelan herself. Upon receiving the news of Sheifa's death in Tomoeda, she rallied her younger sisters and took Yelan down, ascending to the position of matriarch.
Khrista Traydor Kirsch
khrista |
quarkonium | OC | 18 | female | 1/2 bonded, 1/2 terran
Eldest daughter of Maria and Aligoté, who met and fell in love in Econtra. She grew up believing that Lieber was her father, however, as he'd married Maria for her protection. Khrista spent most of her life on Klaus IV with her grandmother and her Uncle Steeg, and later on with Mirage, who trained her to become proficient in martial arts. She was a politician by nature, becoming an active figure in Klausian society, to the point that as soon as she was of legal age, she was elected as ambassador of the Klaus system to the new Pangalactic Federation.
Lieber Kirsch
k* |
thequickdraw | SO3 | 40 | male | klausian
Maria's husband and Khrista's stepfather. Lieber has been smitten with Maria since who-knows-when, and so when they met again, with her mysteriously pregnant, he did everything he could in his power to help her. Aside from giving her his name, he also took on her position, becoming Quark's commander for a time, and by the time Quark disbanded, just before the Klausian Massacre, he was officially vice-commander. During those years he was popularly known as K* (K-Star), a name taken from his last name, Kirsch, and the old moniker he shared with his brother Steeg, Binary Star Lazeria. He tried to spend as much time as he could with his family, but being wanted by the Pangalactic Federation made things extremely difficult.
Maria Traydor Kirsch
maria |
crescentlocus | SO3 | 19 (econtra), 37 (econtradressing) | female | terran
Fayt's twin, born Destinee Leingod. As an infant she was subjected to genetic reengineering, with the Rune of Alteration coded into her genes. However, she turned out to be unstable, her powers uncontrollable and highly dangerous. Her father, Robert, was left to choose between the lesser evil, and it was to dispose of her. But the Leingods' lab assistant, Jessie, took pity on her and adopted her, raising her as Maria Traydor. The next decade or so of her life followed canon; she was orphaned, adopted by Cliff and Mirage, blew up the Invisible, became the leader of Quark, and eventually crossed paths with Fayt and helped him in the battle against the Creator, Luther. The dust never settled after the fight in 4D space, however, and she soon found herself in another war, in Econtra. She left the war triumphant, and pregnant, as she'd fallen in love with one of her fellow Drafted, Aligoté. Put in a precarious position, her longtime friend and loyalist in Quark, Lieber, offered to marry her, if only for her and her unborn child's protection. Years later, she and Aligoté were permitted by fate to meet once more, and they had Merlot; however, Maria was forced to leave them behind, as things had yet to settle down in her world, from the many attempts on her life to her rather controversial marriage with Lieber.
Nausicaa Selphie Kane Nox
nausy |
inmyfathersname | OC | 17 | female | 1/2 elicoorian, 1/2 terran
Albel and Sheifa's eldest child, older than Marcus by a mere five minutes. Nausy mostly took after her mother; she was outgoing, personable, and good at dancing, sports and videogames. She inherited her father's military mind as well, making it almost too easy for her to pass the Ascension of the Flame ceremony and join the Dragon Brigade at the young age of 17; she is the second youngest member to date, the record-holder being Albel himself. She is a well-trained martial artist, skilled in fighting on foot and on dragonback, and she either fights barehanded or with a double kodachi for a weapon. Her dragon's name is Inanna.
Nevelle Robert Zelpher Leingod
nero |
aquarianknight | OC | 18 | male | 1/2 elicoorian, 1/2 terran
Only child of Fayt and Nel, named after his grandfathers. Coincidentally, Nero grew up with an interest in science and in the fighting arts. He chose the path of the sword, however; he later went off to join the Aquarian army, serving under Clair's Secret Legion. While everyone else calls him Nevelle, his family and closest friends refer to him as Nero, a nickname given to him by his childhood sweetheart, Nausy.
Sakura Kinomoto
yinghua |
falsevalkyrie | CCS | 16 | female | terran
This Sakura hailed from a household that had nothing to do with magic, or Clow. Her father Fujitaka, as well as her older brother Touya, had been forced to serve in the army, while her mother Nadeshiko worked as a researcher at a weapons manufacturing firm, and eventually died from an illness. Because of the war, the world had become such a cold and brutal place, and as early as eight years old, she had been taught to hold and shoot a gun. A few years later, however, her father was murdered, but in an ironic twist of fate, she fell in love with the assassin instead - Shaoran. Soon they decided to run away, to flee to England to escape their cruel destinies; however, Fuutei, one of Shaoran's sisters, managed to track them down and force Shaoran to return to the fold. The boy refused to embrace the darkness again, however, and so to save him from a cruel death in the hands of his own sister, Sakura agreed to take on his destiny as if it was hers. For sometime she bore Shaoran's moniker, Vidar, killing in his name. But eventually, after Yelan's death and Fuutei's ascension as matriarch, she was made part of their family. They changed her name to Yinghua Li and her codename to Svanhild, making her one of the Valkyries. She's a gifted sharpshooter, and with that she kills with ease. Every night, however, she cries in guilt and shame, knowing that she's forever marked and forever damned.
Sheifa Li Kane Nox
sheifa |
sheifa | CCS | 19-20 (econtra), 37 (econtradressing) | female | terran
Codenamed Brynhildr, she was the premier assassin of the Li clan, second only to the matriarch Yelan, and was appropriately the leader of the Valkyries. Unexpectedly, however, when their younger brother Shaoran was born, she began having second thoughts about her life, and thus began her struggle to break free from her family's iron grip and her predestined future. She was nearly killed in one of her missions to Japan, but her life was spared when she was unexpectedly pulled into Econtra - and she was never the same again. She came home from the war alive, happily married and bearing twins; she then faked her death and fled to America, changing her name to Cecilia Fermina as she waited for her reunion with Albel, her husband from another place and time. Six years later, Albel pulled off a miracle and swept her off into the future, and she made Airyglyph her new home. And life was good, despite Elicoor being a backwater planet and having to deal with gossiping noblewomen. She liked being a duchess, she had her family and a very supportive mother-in-law, and she made it to the Dragon Brigade, even becoming Brigadier General. But all that went downhill when Vox, Albel's political rival, sent an assassin after her; she survived the confrontation, but her unborn child did not. Again, she was changed, and in fact she was nearly torn apart by her grief. She had since worn her hair short, and once more she returned to the battlefield, if only to distract herself from the recent tragedy.

TIMELINE - STAR OCEAN SIDE
SD 773
→ Albel and Maria are sent back from Econtra.
→ Albel's return forces Vox to cease his insurrection. He escapes punishment by saying that he only operated with the knowledge that Albel had been taken by the Federation with the assistance of the Aquarians, and that he only sought to rescue his captain as any knight in the Dragon Brigade would.
→ Maria finds herself being held prisoner aboard a Federation ship, but she escapes. She rendezvouses with Cliff and the Diplo crew, after which they decide to hide her in Klaus IV. Lieber and Marietta stay with her.
→ Fayt goes into hiding in Aquaria, and eventually marries Nel.
→ Sophia flees to Roak.
SD 774
→ Maria finds out she's pregnant. Lieber marries her for her protection. Months later, she gives birth to Khrista.
→ Nero is born to Fayt and Nel.
SD 776
→ Quark disbands, as its members are being hunted down by the Federation. The 'original' seven (Maria, Cliff, Mirage, Lieber, Steeg, Lancar and Marietta) each go their separate ways. Maria and Lieber leave Khrista on Klaus with Lieber's mother before parting ways themselves.
→ While traveling through space, the engines of Maria's ship malfunctions and it crashes into, to her surprise, Aquavitae. She meets Aligoté again and she stays with him while she gets her ship fixed. Her stay is extended, however, because she gets pregnant with Merlot. She leaves a few months after giving birth to her, promising to come back for them when things settle down in her world.
SD 777
→ The Klausian Massacre takes place, with the Federation intent on getting rid of Quark down to the very last member. Records and official accounts say that the renegade group was completely eliminated, including the ringleaders Cliff and Maria.
SD 778
→ Albel talks to Fayt about journeying to Styx to use the Time Gate and find Sheifa. Fayt agrees, but says they should find Sophia first since they can't activate the Gate without her.
→ Cliff comes to see Fayt; he's faked his death, just like Maria. He's yet to hear from the others but he's confident that they're alive. He volunteers to join Fayt and Albel in their search, and together they pick up Sophia in Roak before heading off to the past.
→ Mirage visits her dying father on Klaus. She then checks up on Khrista and is reunited with Steeg, who has been staying with his mother and watching over Khrista. She decides to stay with them and trains Khrista just as she trained Maria.
→ Lancar and Marietta are confirmed to be dead.
SD 779
→ Maria finally returns to Klaus, reuniting with her eldest daughter. She's been trying to find a way to return to Aquavitae, but to no avail.

→ Albel successfully brings Sheifa, Marcus and Nausy to Airyglyph. He marries Sheifa again in the church in Aquios.
→ Marcus is first introduced to Count Woltar.
→ Nero and Nausy meet for the first time.
→ Styx vanishes, shortly after Albel uses the Time Gate to bring his family over, crushing Maria's hopes of ever being reunited with Aligoté and Merlot.
→ Cliff and Sophia leave for an unknown destination.
SD 782
→ Sheifa performs the Ascension of the Flame ceremony and joins the Dragon Brigade. Her dragon's name is Cecilia.
SD 787
→ Khrista first makes her mark in Klausian society as she lands first place in the interplanetary extemporaneous competition despite being the youngest.
SD 788
→ Sheifa, pregnant with their third child, is advised by Albel's mother to resign from the Dragon Brigade. She does, but months later an attempt on her life leads to her miscarriage. She falls ill due to her depression.
→ A politician takes an interest in Khrista and takes her in as his protege.
SD 789
→ Vox successfully apprehends the assassin, who happens to be a member of the Dragon Brigade directly under Albel's command, and manages to have the soldier tried and executed. This gains him the support of nearly half the Dragon Brigade, despite Albel being the captain, and many of the Glyphian nobles.
→ The captain of the Black Brigade, Shelby, allies with Vox.
→ Nero joins the Secret Legion.
SD 790
→ A mysterious entity shows up in the Irisa Fields. It is defeated before it reaches Aquios by Fayt and a team of runologists.
→ Maria contracts a strange disease, the cure requiring blood transfusion. She goes to see Fayt, the only possible donor given their unique genetic make-up, since she couldn't locate Sophia. She hears about the alien that attacked Aquaria and, based on Fayt's description, concludes that it was an Entropi. She gives Fayt a copy of the blueprint of the weapon they'd used to defeat the Entropi in Econtra.
→ After a DNA test, Fayt and Maria finally find out that they are siblings.
→ With the queen's permission, Fayt starts building the superweapon, with the Sealed Cavern as his workplace. Only Fayt, the queen, Nel, Clair and Maria know about the project.

SD 792
→ Nausy performs the Ascension of the Flame ceremony and joins the Dragon Brigade. Her dragon's name is Inanna.
→ Tension builds up at the Kirlsa-Arias border, with a group of Glyphian hotheads intent on invading Aquaria.
→ The Federation receives word of a third party being involved in the impending Airyglyph-Aquaria war, wielding technology far more advanced that anything on the planet. Khrista is tasked to go to Elicoor to investigate.
TRIVIA
☈
Rico actually started working on a doujin for the Cardcaptor Sakura side. She also finished the concept art for Sakura, Shaoran, Tomoyo, Eriol and the Tomoeda streetkids (including Meilin), as well as other related artwork.
☈ Shaoran had been the agreed spelling, to avoid confusion with TRC!Syaoran. The usage continued in most, if not all, of
Kazie's AUs.
☈ Maria's real name is a obviously a pun. Fayt = fate, so, Destinee = destiny.
☈ Lieber's moniker, K*, reflects
Kazie's dorkiness. In finance parlance, k* is actually the risk-free rate of return, or the interest rate on Treasury bills and other risk-free government securities.
☈ The Dragon Brigade's ranking system is based on the
USAF ranks, because
Kazie thinks that the Dragon Brigade = Air Force. Accordingly, Albel = General (and by being the captain of the Dragon Brigade, he's basically the commander-in-chief of the Glyphian military), Demetrio = Lieutenant General, Vox = Major General, Sheifa and Schweimer = Brigadier General, and Nausy = Second Lieutenant.
