The first proper chapter of Sky & Microscope is
here. I actually posted it yesterday but getting the formatting right was such a pain that by the time I'd sorted it out I'd had enough. I hope I can sort the problem out because I don't fancy going through that every time I post.
My health problems conspired to make me leave a longer than intended gap between posting the prologue and chapter 1, a reminder that I should stick to last year's 'if it happens, it happens' philosophy and not commit myself to a specific timetable for updates, although I'll try never to leave it long enough to worry people that I've abandoned the fic.
Clearly I'm feeling better now though, a simple tidy of my craft/computer room has evolved into a complete rearrangement of the furniture, not an easy trick when the room is so tiny and there are so many bits and pieces to organise. I had to stop last night with half the stuff clittering up my bedroom making it hard to get to the bed, so once I've finished posting this I'd better get back and try and complete my task before bedtime tonight.
Dad had his 'technical check-up' on his pacemaker yesterday, apparently it's working fine, although he's still unhappy with the lack of results, although not enough to take our advice and speak to his GP.
Honey managed to escape again a couple of days ago, this time by stuffing sawdust into her wheel until it was so full that it popped of its axle. Fortunately Big Brother was still up watching TV at the time and spotted her before she got very far. This is the fourth time she's got out, maybe it's time to change her name to Houdini.
