Aaargh! or Please Permit Me a Moment to Unload.
I'm in the middle of trying to write Chapter 18 of Prisoner and I'm struggling a bit. Without giving away too much I'm writing a scene between Gil and his new lawyer and it's not going too well. I can't explain why I'm having this problem really, I just have to tell myself that most of my readers only know about the law from watching TV, just like me, so it doesn't really matter what I write as long as it sounds about right, but that's the problem, it doesn't sound right!
It also doesn't help that my concentration is currently on the fritz, something which happens to me periodically and usually, as in this case, with perfect timing.
Anyway, I just needed a minute of your time to let off steam. If things are still bad tomorrow I'll cut the scene for now and put something else in it's place. Hopefully the next post you'll see from me will be the new chapter.
