Toys-R-Us is made of awesome
I had to go to Toys-R-Us today to complete an assignment for my Children's Lit class. We had to go to a toy store and explain how they market toys to boys and girls. Then we were suppose to pick a toy and analysis it. I chose Barbie as I loved Barbie growing up. I bought Zoo Doctor Barbie, it comes with a little doctor's office and little animals, and plan to give it to my little cousin after I take it to class on Wednesday. I was looking at all the different Barbie occupations: Zoo Doctor, Baby Doctor, Baker, Ballerina and Stable Hand and I started wondering, where is Aerospace Engineer Barbie *grins* She could be in front of some NASA computers with a rocket launching in the distance. I don't know about you but I would play with her.
Also, when I was there I found these kid workbooks. I bought Grade 4 English. Grade 5 Math and Grade 6 Canadian Curriculum so I can feel extremely good about myself and superior when I answer the questions correctly *grins* There is also the chance that I wouldn't know anything and may start weeping uncontrollably but I'm going to think positively.
