I apologize for the length of this entry. I have no idea how to condense and link the entry like so many of you do.
I had a wonderful time in Seattle. I wasn't expecting to be whisked away to the Merc on Friday night from the airport, but that was fun. Thanks to Erik for letting us stay at his house that night. We very much appreciate it. Also, thanks for taking me to Jane's at the ungodly hour of 8am after a wild night at the Merc.
Saturday was a blast. We had Dim Sum with a bunch of friends followed by the successful completion of a few last minute chores for the wedding on Sunday. After all the 'work' was done, Jane dragged me to a sex store and we had a great time picking out goodies for her bachelorette party. Next, we hit the mall in search of a new purse for Jane and underthings for their honeymoon. Later that night, we held a fairly subdue party for Jane. However, Cat did liven the party up a bit by making us watch a horrid porn movie, Edward Penishands. I must say this was my first porn. Kinda gross for my first one, but I've been assured there are better ones out there.
Sunday was, of course, the wedding. However, before I go there, I want to thank Jen and Kyle for letting me crash at their gorgeous house on Saturday night. It made things much easier on Sunday. Anyway, the wedding went great. Jane looked awesome and Matt couldn't keep his hands off her. It was amusing. It was nice to see so many of our friends dressed up and having a good time. I must admit, after that wedding, I can't wait for mine!
After the wedding, Geoff and I met Geoff's parents in Marysville to see Hero. Beautiful movie, however, I was a little disappointed by the plot. Perhaps it was the lack of sleep, the nice comfy chairs, and the dark theater. After the movie, we had dinner with his family.
Monday morning we got up at 6am to catch our series of flights back to San Jose. I will never again take two connecting flights between Seattle and San Jose. Our first flight was on a tiny shuttle between Portland and Seattle. It had 9 rows. I swear I was going to die. Thankfully our next plane was a tad bigger, it had 16 rows. You can bet I was very happy when we touched down in San Jose. That night I tried to do homework, but failed miserably. I finally gave up and hit the sack. I was cussing out my alarm when it went off at 3am. Forcing myself out of bed, I wrote my paper due today. Now my goal is to get through the rest of the day before I head home and sleep many many hours.
One thing is for sure, it was all worth it! Jane, Matt...I love you guys. Have fun in Italy!
