You know, it's perfectly normal and OK to be afraid. Fear is actually a good thing. It keeps you from jumping in too fast and makes you think about what you are doing which leads to better plans and lower chances of failure.

Just so long as you don't let it paralyze you, it's OK.

I have no advice as I suck at business. I am wishing you much luck and success, though.

Your hugs and words of caring ARE a help to me. There is nothing else anyone can do. I mean, the only thing that would make it right is if he never died, and no one can fix that. This doesn't mean that the words of my friends don't matter. They do so much. So, so much. Even the smallest gesture.

You know, you are a very smart woman and I know you will get this all figured out. I did try to start a business with a friend once, and it is tough. There's a lot to it. Unfortunately, everything I did that I can remember was Oklahoma-based, so I can't really help much there. But, if you need help understanding some of the mumbo jumbo, I might be able to help there. Sometimes that legal stuff gets through my brain and I actually understand it. As long as it isn't tax law--I never could understand that stuff.

When you head to go to the first class let me know please? Have you done the first course yet? I think it would be really interesting, and I do have the grocery shopping business in mind, personal shopper. I would be willing to go with and that way we can work on things together.

You have the ability to do it. I've just been doing a similar course on starting a business - I can pass on what I've learned so far, or just fax you bits if you like :)

I really enjoy it - it's an all women coure, and basically guides you through drawing up marketing plans and business plans for your small business idea. A lot of it is common sense, but if nothing else, it keeps pushing me forward into doing all the things I need to do to get my business started.

I'll see what I can convert into emails - I can certainly send you some stuff. I also made post about it under my "women's group" keyword, and I'll try to post more detail in the future!

It will all unfold as it needs to.
As you learn how to manage your own time and resources for additional resources, you will grow your business and your skills exponentially.
Blessings, Roni!

it definately shall. focus is going to be critical, not just for all of these lofty ideals and goals, but just to move forward and not end up back here again. i don't think i have ever in my life read so much about budgeting and finances as i have done in the last few months. of course, i never thought a few pennies could ever amount to much either. i think what scares me the most is waking up being told that i have been kidding myself.

you should go work on getting wet, now heh ;)

From your lips to God's ears, Girl!
The lover is up to his elbows in issues, and the husband is off to work tomorrow, all wound up in scheduling concerns and teaching plans for the coming week.
Maybe I'll slip into something slinky and prance about here when the kids go to bed. Assuming a certain someone is still awake and alert enough to appreciate such yummies.
Sigh.
Maybe I need a tropical vacation actually!

Wouldn't that be lovely?
