i'm truly blessed. just returned home. was still a tad dark when i left for work this morning and it was dark when it was time to come home. while wearing my late grandfather's robe (total comfort zone), my husband is making spaghetti. (one of the few things that he likes to make) and i get to Sit, stretch out and relax for a few minutes.

several people commented at my register, today, about how nasty some holiday shoppers can be. i had made it a point to try to help everyone to the fullest while they were at my register so that they wouldn't have to go back and stand in the lines all over again. several times this held up my register by an extra 3-4 minutes at a pop. people would behave embarrassed that they were holdiing up the lines, but it was obvious that they were relieved to not have to stand and wait for another 30minutes plus. i finally told someone that if people wanted to be nasty then that wasn't really my problem it was that person's problem. the holiday season comes once a year. we all know it's coming. we all know what the shopping experience is like as it gets closer. as long as i am doing the best that i can do, then that is all i can do.

needless to say, for one of the longest shifts that i have worked, it was a great day. it was a great weekend. i can't hardly walk since i am soooo tired.

my children are in for the biggest treat ever. this is so worth it. just not all the time LOL.

*collapses on the couch and starts planning the to-do list for everything else that needs to be done*

tomorrow is a girls shopping day to get all of the odds n ends and the yule party necessities.
