Three letters received by Kuchiki Byakuya:

It is raining in the 42nd District. Do not think that it is uncomfortable. The provisions my lord has made for this trip have been a deep service. You needn't have troubled yourself so. Still, Hisana is very grateful for the company. We have traveled along the river for days now, and the district borders have been no hinderance. There has been no news. This woman has not lost heart however: there are still many rumors about many travellers, and she will not squander this precious gift. Hisana has thought of you, my lord. There is a grove of trees in bloom not far from the banks. It is difficult not to think of you, even if they are soaked and perhaps a little sullen for their current state of being.

Forgive Hisana these idle cruelties--she will return in twelve days. It is said the weather worsens with the season here and this woman's condition will soon be an inconvenience. Pray, do not think she finds it a nuisance! Hisana is content to pay her lord his so dearly deserved dues for all the effort he has spent on her. Hisana has hope; and that you alone have given her, along with so many other things. She thinks of you only fondly. Please do not grow too cold her absence. Dress warmly. We will be with you soon.

most humbly,

Kuchiki Hisana

There is very little I am able to say on the matter. It was all very sudden. My conduct was of course inexcusable. Compensation for the damages will come from my own salary, his captain will not mention the incident in the annual reviews, and the 12th division has informed us that there is an 80% chance that that arm may be regrown. Or become a tentacle. They were not entirely clear.

Nevertheless, the officer will not likely speak ill of our household again. His father should be far more agreeable the next time my honored brother needs to speak with him. I hope that this is an acceptable conclusion to such an unfortunate incident. It will not happen again. Word has traveled fast. People are warned.

Yours Most Respectfully,

Kuchiki Rukia

I accept.
