Another one. All of these are fairly short. This one is a little bit longer than the last. My longer fics probably won't be surfacing for a while, so I'm just knocking down the little ones as I go.

Teal'c fingered the material, confused with how it would be effective in battle. There did not appear to be any armaments or any outward protection. It was most curious and exceedingly distressful. He felt that he should discuss the matter with O'Neill immediately. Teal'c prepared himself to find O'Neill when he discovered that he was already approaching him.
"I do not understand," Teal'c said, holding up the jacket. "This appears to be nothing but cloth. I do not see how this will prove to be effective in battle."
O'Neill raised his eyebrows. "Effective as in…"
"This uniform does not contain armor. It also appears to have a color ill suited for warriors."
"Ah, well, we do things a little differently around here," O'Neill said. He reached out to touch the fabric, holding it up for demonstration. "You see, we're more about flexibility and camouflage than bulk and armor."
Teal'c frowned. He did not understand.
"We can blend into our surrounds and move a lot faster," O'Neill explained. "It has both a tactical and practical application."
Teal'c stared at the material. In his short time on this world, he had come to know that O'Neill was a strong warrior, one that could use unorthodox ways to fight his enemy. Yet, while he could understand the benefits that O'Neill had discussed, he still did not feel certain that these loose materials would be suitable against the Goa'uld.
O'Neill must have sensed his indecision. "It works. You'll see." He handed the jacket back to Teal'c. "Not all of us have a symbiote to protect us. But this allows us some freedom to move on the field."
"I see." Teal'c once again ran the fabric through his fingers. They were fitted, green, and much unlike his robes from Chulak. "And they prove effective in battle?"
"You betcha."
Teal'c nodded. He had much faith in O'Neill. If he felt that this thin material would serve useful in their battles, then Teal'c would do as he was asked. He would try the Tau'ri way even if it were a strange one. However, he would not give up his staff weapon.
Satisfied, Teal'c removed the uniform and entered the locker room to change. Soon, he would be joined with SG-1 and have the chance to prove his worth to his new companions, fellow warriors, and the rest of this world.
