It’s been an interesting year for me. I feel that I’ve grown and taken some major steps forward in some respects, but also many steps back in other ways. The past four months have been especially difficult for me and I’m still working on regaining my center. I feel I’ve lost an important piece of myself that I’m still trying to rebuild and find again.
I look back on last year’s resolutions and it feels like I wrote them just yesterday. I didn’t make as much progress with them as I would have hoped. I got too caught up in the surface daily routines and dramas of every day life rather than allowing myself to relax into the deeper aspects as much as I would have liked.
Therefore, this year’s resolutions will be very similar to last years, but with renewed will and focus.
2006 New Year's Resolutions
January 1, 2006
1. To not only learn to let go, but to actually let go.
2. To live in the moment.
3. To cultivate balance, love, joy, and inner peace in my daily life.
4. To be more conscious and appreciative of all things in my life.
5. To meditate regularly.
6. To continue and increase my focus on my self-directed training and studies.
7. To become a healthier, fitter individual.
8. To give back to the people and the world around me.
9. To renew my dedication and devotion to following my path as a Jedi.
