Well, I still haven’t wrote my entry about the Gathering. Maybe tomorrow? :p Here’s another nice, long update, though. :)

For the Star Wars books, try looking at those little 2nd hand shops. Sometimes you can find books that are selling for a LOT of money, marked at the usual rates (half the cover price), simply because the people running the store aren't aware that whatever item is currently quite a frenzy among buyers. If you don't need the special edition, a lot of times the prices on the later printings are much cheaper than the insane-I-could-buy-a-house-for-that prices of the special/first editions. And give it some time too, for a while there, the hardback 1st edition Eragon with the original cover art was selling for thousands of dollars. I'm sure the current price isn't near that.

Check places like Goodwill and Salvation Army shops too :) And stop at rummage/yard sales if they have books, you never know, there might be one or two in the mix and those books are usually only a dollar or two, or as little as ten cents.

Yeah, I always keep my eyes open for any Star Wars books, but I just don't see them very often. And I also found a few of the out of print ones on fairly cheap sites. I should be able to get them for less than ten with shipping as opposed to over $20 each, plus shipping. =oP

Also look at half.com... sparkythegeek July 18 2005, 15:20:05 UTC
Aimee-- also take a look at half.com which is a part of ebay. Same username but instead of it being an auction, its just people selling outright with preset prices. I've gotten books off there a few times & have gotten some really good deals!

Good luck with the interview!

I already got rid of my JA books - sorry. ;)

Yeah, Saph mentioned halfprice.com too. I don't know if I'm using it right, though. I got a bunch of links to other sites. I did find some good ones on the Yahoo site they listed, though. Too bad you got rid of yours already. =oP Thanks for the luck! =o)

Half.com is the ebay run one - Saph might've mistyped it. ;)

*nod* I sold mine and gave a couple to Saph already... you can beg her now, I guess!

Ah, ok. I'll have to try out that site, then. Or maybe I just made up my own site myself. =oP

Saph mentioned she thought she had a couple JA books from you, but then when she checked I think they were really Jedi Quest ones. I'm hoping the Jedi Quest ones are still in print at least. I'll start looking for those next. =o)

Hehe. No problem. =o) Actually, if you happen to have them, Jedi Quest books 3 and 7 are out of print I think, although I've only searched on Amazon so far. =oP
