Hello again...
It has been another long while. I have been long term subbing since January. The teacher is out on maternity leave with her second child. I am teaching five class periods of highschool English. I teach Sophomores the first two class periods and freshmen the last three. It has been quite the experience. I am still pretty sure that high school isn't where I want to be unless I am teaching something like theatre or photography. I am looking forward to having a lot more free time once it is over. It takes me several hours each weekend to grade their journals and update the gradebook. I will miss the daily interaction with the same set of students. It is pretty neat getting to know each of them and watching thier personalities emerge. Andy has also been overseas since January. I have been keeping busy by subbing, I joined a couple dance classes, and I try to visit his family at least once a week. I am on spring break now and I am using the time to catch up on housecleaning and lots of recreational reading. Tommorow I am off to Santa Cruz. I will sit in the sun and eat yummy food and it will be lovely! Love, Sum
