Title: Exit Strategy
Author: Kelley Armstrong
Series: Nadia Stafford #1
Genre: Thriller
Setting: Some Canada, some US, modern day with no werewolves, vampires, or ghosts.
Reason for Reading: I was curious.
Finished In: Days.
Pages: 480, plus some excerpts from Women of the Otherworld
Copyright Date: 2007
Cover: A woman in a dress and heels holding a gun. The background is bright red.
First line: "Mary Lee pushed open the shop door."
Trigger Warnings: Death, betrayal, past trauma.
Best part: Wow, this was so much better than any Armstrong book I'd read previously. I wonder if that is because she wasn't really meant to write SPT novels, or has she just grown as a writer over the years?
Worst part: No nookie!
Imaginary Theme Song: "I Just Don't Care Anymore" by Garbage
Grade: C+. It was good but not to reread repeatedly.
Recommended for: Fans of thrill-y fiction.
Related Reads: Hmm. Well, the author's other series: Bitten, Stolen, Jostled, et cetera. (Just kidding, Jostled isn't really a title.) I'm not sure about regular thrillers, I don't read very many. Have to think about it. Any of my readers have suggestions?
