I'm a happy plant mommy!
Just a bit ago, I was doing my daily anti-larva check of my 3 year old serviceberry in its pot here in the apartment. And I found these:
See 'em, still wrapped in a bit of spent flowers?
Yep! BERRIES!
I did hand-pollinate some of the flowers, tho I concentrated on finding and smooshing all the worms for the last couple of weeks, which had wound sticky webbish stuff all over, so I didn't know if any of the subsequent flowers were even viable and didn't try and pollinate them (by rubbing them with my fingertips). There are only maybe 6 or so berries, but I don't care - my plant is happily producing! :D Makes the disgusting need to squish 20 some larvae worth it!
Kinda wish I had a better camera, tho...it doesn't focus as well as I would like.
