CZA!!!! over Madison
Originally uploaded by Spencer9So, I tend to look up a lot, especially at night, and because of this I notice a lot of clouds and other interesting things. This time, though, I only noticed the CZA because I was taking a wide-angle photograph that included a lot of sky. The world is darker in my viewfinder than it is in real life: otherwise I would have been blinded and would not have noticed the colors of the CZA.
This is my favorite photo now.
So there we have it. Circumzenithal arc over Madison. It's the upside-down rainbow at the top of the screen. Look at the photo at full size via flickr to get all the color. It was rad.
