Career Fair Singapore 2005

Mar 08, 2005 00:08

Got into Singapore in the wee hours of Saturday. 0300H, in front of Golden Mile Complex. Took a cab and headed straight to rendezvous with Ben at his office in Orchard Road. Picked him up at the taxi place, before proceeded back to his place in Bukit Batok.

Hours later, actually many significant hours later, when the sun was really up, we got up and got ready for the day's activities. I earlier planned to go to the Career Fair in Suntec City. Met up with my KL squash buddy, Tommy who was also in town for the fair. He was there earlier and when we met up, he was planning to go for his lunch with his other friend, Jeff. After an hour's talk at the lobby lounge, I decided to check out the fair. Told them I'd meet up with them at Millennia Walk if I managed to finish before 6.

True to my prediction, I finished very fast. Nothing much at the fair. More than 60% of the fair was represented by universities and institutions. And the jobs offered by prospective companies wanted Singapore citizens and permanent residents. Anyway, while I was there, took some pictures of Suntec City Exhibition Centre with the SONY DSC Cyber-shot M1 I borrowed from my cousin for the Hong Kong trip. The pictures churned out by the camera look good. But my only complaint about the camera model is that it's not so hand-held friendly.

Went to meet up with Tommy (picture below), Jeff and this time, his bf Gary (picure below) at Coffee Club in Millennia Walk. Sat there, chatted a bit before I left for Peninsula Plaza to get ink cartridge for Ben. Later at night, Ben and I (bottom-most picture) had dinner at TCC with his god-brother, Clement and a mystery date.. hehe.. and that's another story.
