In The Heat Of The Night

In The Heat Of The Night
by Vincent Lai

this early morning,
in the heat of the late night,
quaint, wistful calling,
at 35 past midnight.

earlier, hustled by insecurity,
later, healed by derix and renny,
tickled by their words of ambiguity,
amidst reality cracks of the irony.

all that felt close to heart,
amidst a soaking inside,
as I mentally fill my part,
closing in on the physical divide.

with each message in bracket,
in the heat of the late night,
we all sounded pretty wicked.
all is clear, we are alright.

•~ Vincent Lai. As I call upon my dear, as I try my best to fight, this wistful feeling is real, as real as the heat of the night. ~•
