A Day With Desmond & Tsuka

Scout's Honour:Tsuka posing for me at the sports store.

Last week my Thai friend, Thanes and a HK friend, Thomas flew into KL for their holidays. We went out a bit during the weekends, which I will blog about later. But right now, I'm gonna write about the day after all of us met at Frangipani on Friday night. That very night, I bumped into Desmond. Or Brandon. Haha.. he uses double names when socialising with people. Anyway, I was introduced to Desmond, José hosea73 and Gabriel some time back when I first met up with Jeff gyzersg for karaoke. Desmond asked some of us for lunch the next day because he would be around town. In the end, Tsuka and I agreed since we were longing to play bowling after lunch and Desmond was cool about bowling too.

The next day, we met up in front of San Francisco Coffee Café at Lot 10 and proceeded to the foodcourt outside Isetan at the Ground Floor. Lunch wasn't fabulous, Tsuka and Desmond had Thai while I stuck with some teppan blackpepper chicken rice. I was not concerned with the bird flu scare, with my consumption of chicken since it pretty much affected the northern state of Kelantan only. Heck, I'm not gonna be totally paranoid. Furthermore, the quarantine period was already uplifted.

Next, we walked around a bit in Sg Wang Plaza with Desmond doing all the shopping for clothes *grins* while Tsuka and I just hung around, being in the scene. Desmond was on the verge of laughing because while browsing into his choice of clothes Tsuka was mostly tagging alongside him. So I think he felt a bit intimidated with someone behind him all the time. But yours truly, did not follow suit, as I kept myself busy texting Ben. *chuckles*

Bowling was not impressive on my side, although I hit 154 in the second game of 2 games. The first game, I failed miserably. Let's skip the details. After bowling, we had wanted to go for a movie at KLCC and upon realising that it was already drizzling and that we may have to dread the long queue for the tickets, we decided to hang around the malls and chill-out at the café within the vicinity. After roaming around the boutiques in Lot 10, we bumped into 2 person Thanes knows; Kenneth and the other guy whose name I forgot. After that we went for drinks at Dôme, and gosh, the world is really small indeed.. we bumped into another guy we met at Frangi, John.

All 3 of us, somehow had this synchronised telephatic link. We all thought of ordering Iced Chocolate with Ice Cream. Realising we were gonna have the same drink, Desmond asked for something else. While sipping away, storm wrecked havoc in the city and it was raining heavily in the city. Those patrons sitting outside the café although covered, were affected by the wind and the rain and had to scramble indoors for cover and probably a place. Some had to stand and wait while holding their drinks. Talking away, the time passed by quite quickly and then we went on to KL Plaza and visited this sports store. While Desmond was busy picking his jeans, I snapped some pictures of Tsuka. Supposedly testing my photographic skills on human as I normally would take pictures of buildings.

Late evening, I accompanied them for dinner. I just had Coke because I was thinking that mum must have prepared dinner at home. Desmond and Tsuka had initially planned to go clubbing at Liquid that night and I didn't want to go. Sort of retired from clubbing.. hehe. Overall, I could say the outing was interesting, as I normally hated shopping when I'm not the one doing the shopping. *grins*

While waiting for Desmond with his shopping, Tsuka with his antics.

Notice me in one of the pics? though I was the photographer all the time
