yoh_kun tagged me to do that thing where I ramble about five topics she picked, so here goes! (If you want to do this, leave a comment and I'll assign things accordingly, but I don't expect anyone to be as much of a lemming as I am.)
1. China
It's...actually pretty hard for me to sum up "China" in a tidy little paragraph because it encompasses so much for me - it's my family, my heritage, a country that I find fascinating and yet feel really alien in even though I technically look the same as everyone else there. Occasionally I feel like I would be okay living there and other times I feel like I'd absolutely hate it. It embarrasses me that my Chinese is so awful and yet every time I meet new people they always say "but your English is amazing!" as if this makes up for the fact that I can barely talk to my own grandmother. China is really a mixed bag for me, I guess. Although I think it'd be a lot of fun to travel around China with a foreigner (i.e. someone white) because I've never done that before and I'd like to see what China is like through a foreigner's eyes. :P I'm such a dork.
2. Sakurai Sho
Oh, how I love this man. XDD (Oddly enough I still refer to the Arashi members as "boys" even though they are all clearly much older than me. It's hard for me to think of a "boyband" as having "men", I suppose.) I love that he's clearly intelligent and talented and yet a large portion of his career has been built on his making a complete fool of himself in front of a camera. I love that he has "muscles" (HAHAHA A JOHNNY'S WITH BRAWN YOU KILL ME SHO) and is pretty much the only Arashi member that doesn't look like he's in immediate need of a double cheeseburger with extra grease. I also like that he is a total failure of a Johnny's - can't do flips, is NOT photogenic (that recent +Act shoot is a very sexy fluke) and doesn't even camwhore properly. Also he is a flamingly gay rapper by day and a straight-laced newscaster by night. Way to do things backwards, honey.
3. Super Junior
Why 2 boybands, Eryn? Anyways, Suju was actually a group that I was determined not to get into because hello, 13 members? Totally ridiculous. And then I started watched Full House and was introduced to the absolute CRACKFEST that is Suju, and I've been hooked ever since. I have to give at least some props to LSM for creating such a successful "boyband" out of a large group of guys that can barely sing, although I was not a fan of the huge fandom bitchfest that was SJ-M. Honestly, couldn't you just announce at first that they're going to be a rotation group so people don't get upset when you "add" new members? I also really really want them to bring Explorers of the Human Body back because MAN was that a great show. XDDD
4. Kitties
There is clearly a typo in Eryn's original comment because there is only one Kittie and she's typing this right now. :P I don't think I really need to promote my own stupendousness, it's about as obvious as Ohmiya showing off their fanservice skills.
5. YZDX
I don't think I'd ever really like running a music comm as much as I do, but I think it's pretty much only because it's YZDX that I'm helping to run and not any other comm. I love Team CAKE pretty fiercely (not only because I love dessert :P) and it really surprises me sometimes much attached I am to you girls. I wish I could come see all of you graduate, to be honest, that's how much I think of you guys as actual little sisters, and I am totally looking forward to mailing you guys care packages in college and y'know, running YZDX forever and ever. :P
