I chose to forgo the traditional Thanksgiving Festivities this year in order to do something that was more up my alley and something that felt a little more spiritual and meaningful to me. Here was my day:
1. I did a pseudo-Thanksgiving family dinner on the Sunday before with my sis and her family, my mom, Anya, Tobias and I. We had lasagna, pumpkin soup, salad and, yes, pumpkin pie.
2. On T-day, I went on a long bike ride that culminated in a long hike to Cascade Canyon Falls, where I sat on a rock over looking the almost dry falls and thought about many things that I was thankful for; all my friends, loved ones, nature, pets, things, etc, etc. I also sat and opened myself to the beauty and quiet around me.
3. I went to see the movie "Stanger than Fiction", which was soooo awesome.
4. I almost went out to Indian food, but the restaurant was closed by the time my movie got out. So I had leftover lasagna, soup and toast.
5. I read my book and went to be early.
