Busy day...

I know I am a procrastinator. I had this idea a month ago to make my dad a quilt from t-shirts. I only went shopping for the t-shirts about a week ago. I only started cutting them into squares on Saturday. I didn't do most of the cutting until this morning. But(!!) I have the quilt almost completed thanks to my awesome hubby and the gift of a serger. Putting the squares together was a breeze on the serger and only took about 30 mins. I have finished the actual quilting part as well. I am now on the regular sewing machine doing the finishing. I keep running out of bobbin thread. The end is in sight though. It is turning out so cute. I used shirts with grandpa sayings and pictures of fish, etc. All blues and greens. I am pretty proud of it.

I still have to wrap about a million presents, give the house a once over to make sure its all sparkly, and go shopping for food for the next few days. I am trying to get the roommie to find where he put the living room paint so he can patch the spots on the wall where he used duct tape to hang Halloween decorations. I am trying to get the kids to clean their rooms. They are in vacation mode and not really listening.

Somehow I will get all of this done today.
