Used to the protocol of court, and having been separated from her for some time, Mercury immediately goes down on one knee before Usagi.

"Princess," she greets her pleasantly.

"Waah!!" definitely not a very Princess-like reaction. "Ah, heh heh," Usagi laughed nervously, then reached down to take the senshi's hands in hers, trying to pull Mercury up from her display of loyalty. "You don't need to do that! And you can just call me Usagi!"

Usagi? She's certainly never heard the princess called that. But she's been in the Nexus enough to ask the obvious:

"You are... the princess' reincarnation?" A world where that was needed.

Well, explaining things had never been Usagi's forté. "Yeah, that's me! Tsukino Usagi, Juuban High student, Class 1!" she cried, flashing a peace sign in a victory pose.

Right. Well, she understood 'student' anyway. Mercury smiles. "I am glad you are progressing in your studies," she says. "We can revisit your books later." The task of tutor to the princess is a relentless one.

"Ah heh," yeah, this girl and Ami-chan were definitely connected. "Can't we... just go out for ice cream, instead?"

[mizuno_hime]

"Princess, you have a lot of things to study as the heiress of our Silver Millenium. You cannot always sneak away." Lecture tone is go.

[mooncrises]

"Awh, but that was ages ago! High school exams are bad enough!!" Usagi heaved a sigh. "Why can't there be a lesson in napping..."

[mizuno_hime]

"Princess, even if it is a new incarnation, you are our princess. You must take your studies very seriously."

"But it's so boring!!" she cried, arms flailing about. When she stopped, she remained silent for a moment. "Why can't they made textbooks into manga or something? Maybe then it would be fun to read at least!"

An internal sigh born of infinite patience. Mercury smiles anyway. "Perhaps after your lessons," she suggests, "We can work on it together, making that sort of book for you." After all, they'll have to cover the material to make the book, and if it will truly help the princess focus...
