There's a small object on a table, which she examines closely; a piece of jewelry. It seems to be made for a woman, which suggests the masculine owner of this suite intends it as a gift.
Maybe she can't be blamed for her next action. Beryl picks up the necklace, and holds it against herself. There's a mirror nearby, and she examines it to see what the jewels would look like against her skin as her gift if he'd only look at her. She lets out a sigh.
