Serenity's sitting on a bench, somewhere in the nexus, face in her hands, crying her eyes out. Following her her disastrous encounter with Kunzite, she's in a world of agony, still unable to believe that he could accuse her of such terrible things.

Serenity looks up, too grief-stricken to recognise the girl coming towards her. And too upset to care. "Everything," she whispers. First she wakes up way too soon from her frozen sleep, and now she's lost somewhere, with Kunzite's terrible words still ringing in her mind.

She lets herself be pulled to her feet without further argument. Right now, her heart's too sore to care.

Makoto helps Usagi away from the street, but spies no familiar landmarks immediately. "Do you know where we are?" she asks. "Come on. Look up."

Serenity looks around and spots the Tokyo tower, but it's the 20th century version, not the 30th, and her heart sinks even more. "We're in Tokyo," she says in a small voice.

"What about going to Crown? We can talk there without worrying." This might not be the best conversation to have in public - and even though Makoto has no way to know it, she does know Usagi will probably be more comfortable talking somewhere familiar.

"Let's go." Makoto manages to make it look quite natural, the way she lets Usagi lean against her and supports much of Usagi's weight. She guides them both along towards the nearest bus stop.

The familiar surroundings are doing something towards easing Serenity's pain, but she's still grateful for Makoto's support; it's all that's keeping her from collapsing in a sobbing heap on the pavement again.

The movement of the bus is a bit calming, and it gives Makoto a chance to gather her thoughts. What would get Usagi in this state? Did something happen to-?
